XSD Viewer for Confluence

XSD Viewer for Confluence renders interactive diagrams of your XML Schema Definitions directly on your Confluence pages. Transform complex XSD files into clear, navigable visualizations.

The app provides two macros for working with XSD files:

• XSD Viewer: Interactive diagram visualization with zoom, pan, and click-to-navigate.
• XSD Table: Tabular view of schema elements and their properties.

The XSD Viewer for Confluence app allows you to insert interactive schema visualizations as macros directly into your pages.

1. Install the App: Get the app from the Atlassian Marketplace.
2. Upload an XSD: Attach an XSD or XML file to any Confluence page.
3. Insert Macro: Edit a page, type /xsd and select either "XSD Viewer" or "XSD Table" from the menu.
4. Select Page: Type 3 letters from a page title to search, then select a matching page.
5. Select Attachment: Choose the XSD or XML file from the list of attachments on that page.

The interactive diagram viewer provides several ways to navigate complex schemas:

Zoom Controls

Use the zoom buttons in the toolbar or your mouse wheel to zoom in and out. This is useful for examining details in large schemas or getting an overview of the structure.

Pan & Drag

Click and drag on the diagram to pan around. This lets you explore different parts of the schema without changing the zoom level.

Click to View XML Snippet

Click on any element in the diagram to view the XML snippet for the that element.

Explore Nested Structures

Complex types expand to show their children. You can fold in or expand nodes by clicking the + and - buttons.

In addition to the interactive diagram viewer, the app provides an XSD Table macro for a tabular view of your schema elements.

When to Use

The table view is useful when you want a quick reference listing of all elements and their properties, such as names, types, and cardinality.

Does this app send my XSD files to external servers?

No. All XSD processing happens client-side in your browser. Your schema files are never transmitted to or stored by Eulo Labs. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.

What file types are supported?

The app supports .xsd files (XML Schema Definition) and .xml files that contain inline schema definitions.

Is there a file size limit?

The app can handle reasonably large XSD files. Very large schemas will experience slower rendering times due to client-side processing.
